Privacy Policy

Onyx Web Fix ("we", "us") builds and repairs websites for small businesses. This policy explains exactly what we collect, why, and what you can do about it. We have tried to write it in plain English rather than legal filler.
What we collect
We only collect what you type into the contact form on this site:
- Your business name
- The contact detail you give us (an email address or phone number — whichever you choose to provide)
- Your current website address, if you have one and choose to share it
- What you want fixed or built, and whether you want standard or rush delivery
- Any files you choose to attach (images or PDFs), and any reference link you paste in
Attachments are stored in a private storage area that is not publicly readable and not browsable — only we can retrieve them, and only to do your job. Uploads are limited to images and PDFs of up to 10MB each.
We do not ask for and do not want payment card numbers, Social Security numbers, or any other sensitive personal information through this form. Please do not send them to us.
Why we collect it
Solely to respond to your enquiry, quote the work, and carry it out if you hire us. We do not use it for anything else.
Where it goes
Form submissions are stored in a database hosted by Supabase, and a notification email is sent to us through Resend so we see your enquiry promptly. Those two providers process the data on our behalf in order to run the service. We do not sell, rent, or share your information with anyone else, and we do not use it for advertising.
Cookies and local storage
This site sets no cookies and runs no advertising or analytics trackers. It does use your browser's local storage to remember two preferences: whether you chose dark or light mode, and whether you chose English or Spanish. That information stays on your own device, is never sent to us, and you can clear it at any time through your browser settings.
Two images in our portfolio section are served from Shopify's content delivery network, so loading this page makes a request to that network in the same way as loading any image hosted elsewhere on the web.
How long we keep it
If you become a customer, we keep your enquiry and project records for as long as needed to deliver the work and handle anything that follows from it. If you do not become a customer, you can ask us to delete your enquiry at any time and we will.
Your rights
If you are a California resident, the CCPA and CPRA give you the right to know what personal information we hold about you, to request a copy of it, to request that we correct or delete it, and not to be discriminated against for exercising those rights. We do not sell or share personal information, so there is nothing for you to opt out of on that front.
You do not need to be in California to ask. Email us and we will honour any of the above.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS, and the database is configured so that the public form can only add new enquiries — it cannot be used to read, change, or delete anything already stored. No system is perfectly secure, but we do not collect sensitive data in the first place, which is the most effective protection available.
Children
This is a service for businesses and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top of this page.
